Senior Finance Administrator

The Role:

To lead the day-to-day financial management of the business including processing of purchases, maintain the integrity of the business accounting systems including both P&L and balance sheet. Support management in cash flow, month end, regular and ad-hoc business analysis and reporting, and in the preparation of statutory accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the integrity of the company’s profit and loss accounts and balance sheet
  • Liaise with the sales team to ensure that invoicing is completed promptly and accurately
  • Post payments received to the Sage accounting system
  • Liaise with customers’ accounts departments to ascertain payment data for invoices due for payment
  • Process timesheets and input the data into Sage and the timesheet management spreadsheet
  • Receipt supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and delivery notes and input them into the company’s Sage financial system ensuring that costs are correctly allocated to projects or non-project cost centres
  • Manage cash flow
  • Process weekly and ad-hoc supplier payments as agreed with the Commercial and Finance Directors and ensure the payments are posted to Sage system
  • Maintain the companies confidential invoicing discounting facility and act as the first point of contact with the facility provider
  • Maintain the company’s Sage accounting records entering all transactional data as required and ensuring data is regularly backed up
  • Post credit card statements to the Sage accounting system ensuring that costs are correctly allocated to projects or non-project cost centres
  • Complete moth-end account reconciliation including bank and CID reconciliation

Person Specification:

  • Advanced experience using Excel
  • Must have Sage 50 experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working within a finance role
  • Must be able to start within a week

  • Monday – Friday
