Resource Planning Manager

Role Purpose:

Ensure that the site is set up to deliver a cost-effective peak/off-peak solution to the client and that all KPI’s are continuously exceeded by analysing and communicating the relevant data.  Responsible for the management of the onsite recruitment agencies, delivery of head count, performance and meeting all KPI’s.  Ensuring all plans are issued to the agencies a week in advance and updated accordingly to enable the agencies to pro-actively resource to the volumes forecasted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning of resources
  • Quality and performance of recruitment agencies
  • Responsible for planning of all hours – temporary & permanent personnel
  • Ensuring all reports are updated and published on time
  • Ensuring agency skills matrix and shift patterns are up to date daily in line with recruitment 
  • Plan all training academies for the agencies, detailing the shift patterns and skill sets

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support operations with the right training plans for all shifts building up for peak operation
  • Present accurate resource plans to meet client forecasts
  • Review actual volumes vs forecasts and revise plans whilst keeping all stakeholders updated through clear and concise communication
  • Monitor daily drop in to ensure resource plans are correct
  • Identify areas of concern – agency none conformance, resource shortages and resolve them
  • Ensure all management rotas are updated and visible to all
  • Work with the Training Co-ordinator to ensure sufficient trainers and plans in place to meet peak recruitment
  • Create daily and weekly labour plans for all operations utilising all know forecasts and previous collated information
  • Produce and print all reports ready for the morning meetings

Person Specification & Key Skills:

  • Analytical with the ability to assess trends, volumes and delve into the information provided
  • Solution orientated and a great communicator
  • Advanced Excel skills / WMS knowledge
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, especially in peak period
  • Financial awareness to keep to budgets

Hours & Pay:

  • £32,000 per annum
  • Permanent position
  • 40 hours per week – flexible approach required
