Print & Packaging Design Coordinator

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Packaging Designer who is passionate about design, a team player and a driven individual who produces outstanding creative work from initial concepts through to beautifully crafted solutions.


  • To ensure that the Packaging/Print has been produced accurately with the specification supplied.
  • To assist the relevant Technical Manager, Packaging/Design Co-ordinator and Commercial Manager in the successful launch of new and redesigned lines, through timely completion of tasks in-line with project critical path
  • Ensure that accurate documentation is supplied to the designers and art houses to allow the generation of product artwork, including but not limited to; substrate details, cutter guides and print specs
  • Build successful relationships with customers; suppliers; art houses; printers, to aid the identification and swift resolution of any queries raised
  • Reconcile amendments to packaging of the product for final inspection
  • To create artwork through use of appropriate software, if applicable, for tertiary brands
  • To undertake additional work or projects at the discretion of the food technologist and line manager
  • To ensure that the production of packaging is carried out within the timescales agreed/outlined in the critical path
  • To traffic projects from NPD to Launch
  • To work with on-line artwork approval tools from retailer’s design and artwork agencies

Person Specification:

  • Foundation degree, BTEC, HND or degree in Packaging or Packaging design
  • GCSE, grade C or above, English and Maths
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and navigating appropriate useful websites
  • Good understanding of various print process and substrates
  • A Creative approach to problem-solving

Hours and Pay:

  • Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)
  • Pension
  • Free parking
  • 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Up to £25,000 per annum
